Are you ready to be part of an epic adventure? The Great Northern Viking Festival is looking for enthusiastic volunteers and paid leaders to join our crew and help bring the mystique of the Viking Age to life! We need dedicated individuals for both our family-friendly daytime festival and our exclusive 21+ evening event, "A Night in Valhalla."
Become a part of history and help us forge the first-ever Viking festival of its kind in Minnesota. With your support, we aim to make this an annual celebration of Viking heritage!
Family-Friendly Daytime Great Northern Viking Festival

21+ Evening Event: A Night in Valhalla
What We Need:
- Set-Up & Tear-Down Crew: Help us transform the festival grounds into a Viking village and then pack it all up when the festivities are over. As part of the team, interact with guests in your finest Viking garb, adding to the immersive experience.
- Event & Guest Services Assistants: Support various activities, from games and competitions to performances and immersive experiences. Welcome attendees, provide information, ensure everyone has a fantastic experience, and assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of the festival grounds. Get into character and enhance the atmosphere by interacting with guests as a Viking.
- Hospitality Crew: Assist with food and beverage services, enhancing the guest experience by serving as an interactive Viking character.
- Ticket and Gate Attendants: Manage ticket sales and check-ins at the gate. Greet attendees with a warm Viking welcome, ensuring a smooth entry process.
- Merchandise Sales: Help with selling festival merchandise. Engage with guests, answer questions, and make sure they leave with wonderful festival items.
- Parking & Camping Attendants: Assist with directing cars, managing camping areas, and ensuring a smooth and organized parking and camping experience for all attendees.
- Demo Area Assistants: Support the demonstration area by helping set up, manage, and assist with live demos and interactive displays. Engage with guests to enhance their learning experience.
- Floating Helpers: Be our go-to problem solvers, ready to assist with any tasks that arise throughout the festival. Your flexibility and willingness to jump in wherever needed will be invaluable.

- Operations Lead (Set-Up, Tear-Down, Parking, and Camping)
- Guest Services Lead (Event & Guest Services and Ticket & Gate)
- Hospitality & Merchandise Lead (Hospitality and Merchandise Sales)
- Vendors and Entertainment Lead (Demo and Vendor Area)
- Safety and Wellness Lead (Security and First Aid)
- Mead Hall Lead ( Beverage Operations)
- Volunteer Coordinator Lead (Managing Volunteers)
- Festival Manager Lead (Day of the Festival and Preplanning)
